still in the office...
03.31.05 (3:06 am)   [edit]
that's right, it's 8.15pm and i'm still in the office working my butt off. well well, not that kang cor la. meaning, not really that difficult. just some mailing to be done (actually not some, it's more than ten thousand and counting...)

hmmm... airfares from tiger airways is really cheap - only 9.98 singapore dollars. yes it's tempting, especially the promotion is for travel in july - the month where i finish my attachment. but still, i want to save money for aussie. let's try to focus this time and not side-track.

back to work - - -

03.29.05 (5:47 am)   [edit]
decided not to do overtime today, instead, went to chinatown to get some cds. bought 3 cds, jacky cheung live, kelly chan and twins chinese cd. 3 cds for the price of 1. of course, made in china, that's why. it's original however - so i don't see the reason why i shouldn't buy it. there's booklet, lyrics, photos and even free postcards - at the low price of the cds, it's worth every penny.

reach home about 6.30pm and decided to get change and go jogging. i knew my parents, nephew and niece were there. it's just different jogging alone and jogging with friends or family. i don't think i've jogged with any friends before. all not really sporty friends also. (laughs! don't hit me). i do enjoy the sun, sea, sand and land :P i really need to find a partner to go to the beach with me, cycle with me at pulau ubin or something something.

i guess tomorrow i will continue to work overtime. maybe it's the job, maybe it's the money, maybe it's both. i think if i don't work overtime, i can't finish a day's of work sometimes. and more mailing to do. never ending. but i would understand job will always be never ending - or else there's no point hiring me, or you for any job for that matter.

am listening to the jacky cheung song now. he singing yanzi's cover - tian hei hei. i'm glad i bought new cds - so i can have good music to listen to when i work overtime tomorrow. however, if some bitch piss me off, i would be happy enough to go home at 5.30pm straight!

life is interesting isn't it? people always complaint that, when bad things happen to you, more things will suddenly turn worst. ever notice good things might come in a "dozen" as well? take ah ni for example, first is the job, next is a date (got surprise visit somemore, haha), what's more?! we shall wait and see @@

well well, lynn's trip to the states is reaching near and near. still remember looking at her msn nick name, when she count down, it was 2 digits - but now, she's going to find her prince soon. best of luck pal, have fun and have a safe trip.

03.22.05 (5:11 am)   [edit]
airasia thailand, flys from bangkok, thailand to xiamen, china

airasia malaysia, flys from kuala lumpur, malaysia to manila (clark), philippines

tiger airways, from singapore flys to padang, indonesa - only S$4.98 !

jetstar asia, haven't got anything exciting yet

valuair, not quite sure what they're trying to. they're not budget airlines, yet not a full-service airline. it's like - in the middle.

it's sunday
03.19.05 (11:53 pm)   [edit]
it's sunday, once again. finally packed my room - it's been a mess for a few weeks ever since i came back from taipei.

what a long long day yesterday. woke up at 7am and slept at 4am. hmm... went to the zoo to relive the childhood celebration, natas fair which saw lotsa friends, and study in australia fair. hmmm... after going to study in australia fair, i wonder if i really should go study. griffith university. told my mum about it, and would altogether might - the most - cost S$50,000. that's a lot of money. sometimes you wonder if it's worth spending this huge amount of money just to study and get a cert (of course a good cert from griffith). and in my industry, experience is quite important too. but on the other hand, a degree will get your further and easier for me to climb up the corporate ladder. plus life is short, living alone and being independent in a foreign country will definitely be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. as always, my mum supported me and said if i want to go study, the money should be a problem. well - one good thing is - i have more than 2 years to think about it. . .

shopping spree
03.10.05 (5:37 am)   [edit]
once again, it's isetan's private sale. guess who i went with? agnes, for the 3rd time (or 4th? since shatec times). it's more like a calvin klein shopping spree. one ck boxers, one ck brief, 3 ck inner-t/shirts. woah.

i'm wearing the dri fit nike shorts now, which i bought there. on 30% off. still, it's expensive - but i like it a lot. maybe with it, i'll start jogging and show off my shorts! haha. silly. spent over a hundred dollars today, but it's worth the price. see, i'm so happy now! you know you're worth it~
 :D

the bomb almost went off today. i.m so pissed with that stupid "only-care-for-herself" woman. i don't know if it's the work or her. so irritating. argh! can't wait for attachment to end. still have got at least 125days before everything is over. can't wait can't wait can't wait.

*argh*

Leaves,
are wings that has forgotten how to fly.
Wings,
are leaves that has been left in the sky.
Heaven,
should never have been a dream.
but
I have long forgotten how to fly.
Loneliness,
is the merry-making of a loner.
Merry-making,
is the loneliness of those who seek happiness.
Love,
started out with companionship.
but
I have long forgotten who was with me.
I enjoyed my meals alone.
I travelled the world alone.
Occasionally stopping here and there.
I read my books alone.
I wrote my letters alone.
Occasionally talked with myself on matters of the heart.
but
Where has my heart gone?
Why is it that even i can't see clearly?
I think it wasn't just you that i lost.
Leaves,
are wings that has forgotten how to fly.
Wings, are leaves that has been left in the sky.

the 2nd experience with an budget airline. after tiger airways, this time round, jetstar asia. the first impression when i got up the plane, well, clean, new and great leather seats. seat pitch more or less about 29-31inches not that great - a little squeezy (about the same as compared to cathay pacific i feel). service wise, depending on the cabin crew really. we in the service industry should know, service varies from time to time.

taipei - cks international airport. doesn't look rundown, but that impressive at all. of course, for people like me who have been to hong kong's airport and our very own singapore changi airport (ya ya, i'm proud!) - taipei's cks international airport, is pretty = erm = normal, nothing.

took a cab from taipei's airport to xi men ding, where all the young people hang out - where our hotel is located. cab fare cost about NT$1200 (SGD60). Rainbow Hotel - it looks like a motel in Singapore, the very standard type, look more like a love hotel. for the price SGD188 per person per room for 4 nights, it's consider relatively cheap in taipei. all other hotels which have this price looks the same - they all have hourly rates. if you want and hotel which in singapore is consider a 3 or 4 star hotel, look for chain hotels (e.g. hyatt). but with the located of my hotel, i'm very very satisfied. it's in a centre of the shopping area and young people hot spot - xi men ding.

i've been to 3 night markets in taipei. my favourite? definitely shi lin ye shi. the other two night markets are huashi street night market and jao ho street market. if you go with taipei with a tour group, usually they just bring you to shi lin ye shi (shi lin night market). it's pretty big, and it got a lot of things to eat. i had smelly tofu, pig's blood soup, etc etc. the food the so good. the bubble milk tea in shilin is ultra good. huashi street night market is more like temple street (hong kong). they have stores that sell porn, and sex toys. otherwise, food and clothes. jao ho street market - have lesser things to see as compared to the two night markets. however, i went to tang chong sheng's (taiwanese host who always act as ah bian president and li aw) shop and had steamboat. it taste pretty good. the shop is call da xiao jie (big lady) - so interesting.

sightseeing is another thing nice thing about taiwan. the city can be vibrant, and sights can be so beautiful. went to the basic tourist attractions (and some that normal tour groups doesn't go). martry's shrine, cks memorial hall, longshan temple, jiu fen, ye liu, hot spring, yuan shan grand hotel. my favourite? ye liu. the view the extraordinary, and the sea just made me feel so much better (cos i was sick during my trip there).

shopping! besides shi lin ye shi, huahshi street night market, jao ho street market - the must go shopping area - xi men ding. the place is nice for shopping and very happening during weekends. lotsa taiwanese singers go there to promote their album too. i saw cyndi and ah sang. cyndi's nice album honey's singing/autograph session is just right beside my hotel. i can see so clearly from my room. cool! saw ah sang at rose record store (mei gui chang pian). probably it's the weather and it being winter - the shops sells more jackets and winter wear. next shopping area taipei 101 (so so so high). but the shopping part is just like kuala lumpur's twin tower. the shops, the pattern, the colour - so alike. when to gucci with my sister, saw this really nice thing - it's something like a card holder or for coins or as what the lady said: "che mer duo ke yi" - anything also can. NT$4000+ but didn't buy of course. xin guang san yue shopping centre, warner village, new york, new york, neo 19 - all the shopping centres nearby. wholesale centre - my favourite shopping place. wu fen pu. nice place to shop. huge.

overall, my taipei experience is a sick, rainy and wet one. haha. don't get me wrong. i was sick, the weather was rainy and wet (i'm still sick... i am sick). the food there is great - really nice. so maybe can go taipei again - but definitely not in winter. summer should be a nice time to go.

where i wanna go next? (ex-shatec classmate cum current colleague and soon-to-be ex-colleague alan tong asked).

well, OZ. i wanna go australia. cairns look so fun. so many adventures. i want to dive into the great barrier reef, go white water rafting or maybe try taking the hot air balloon and have a champagne breakfast. i want to go gold coast, enjoy the golden sand and beautiful sea. i want to go movie world and dream world and get scared and shout my lungs out. i want to go melbourne to enjoy the life of an OZ. shopping maybe.

... emm ...

that's life .
