no fair. tomorrow is spring cleaning day. others have stuff to clear. i have to clear stuff too. but they can wear casual wear (the ceo said can!) but i can-NOT. so i'll be in my shirt and tight-hippster-black pants and 1 inch beetle bug leather shoes and do all the clearing and packing.

let's see if i have a lot to clear tomorrow. if i does. it's no fair. if i don't. then it's fine.

i shall wait and see. so be it.

love words - interesting story
[LINE]

A newly wed couple had only been married for two weeks. The husband, although very much in love, couldn't wait to go out on the town and party with his old buddies.

So, he said to his new wife, "Honey, I'll be right back."

"Where are you going, coochy cooh?" asked the wife.

"I'm going to the bar, pretty face. I'm going to have a beer."

The wife said, "You want a beer, my love?" She opened the door to the refrigerator and showed him 25 different kinds of beer, brands from 12 different countries: Germany, Holland, Japan, India, etc.

The husband didn't know what to do, and the only thing that he could think of saying was, "Yes, lolly pop...but at the bar...you know...they have frozen glasses..."

He didn't get to finish the sentence, because the wife interrupted him by saying, "You want a frozen glass, puppy face?" She took a huge beer mug out of the freezer, so frozen that she was getting chills just holding it.

The husband, looking a bit pale, said, "Yes, tootsie roll, but at the bar they have those hors
d'oeuvres that are really delicious... I won't be long, I'll be right back. I promise. OK?"

"You want hors d'oeuvres, poochi pooh?"

She opened the oven and took out 5 dishes of different hors d'oeuvres: chicken wings, pigs in blankets, mushroom caps, pork strips, etc.

"But my sweet honey... at the bar... you know... there's swearing, dirty words and all that..."

"You want dirty words, cutie pie?...

"LISTEN UP, DICKHEAD! DRINK YOUR FUCKING BEER IN YOUR GODDAMN FROZEN MUG AND EAT YOUR MOTHER FUCKING SNACKS, BECAUSE YOU ARE MARRIED NOW, YOU AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE! GOT IT, ASSHOLE?"

interesting day. met some school mates today and went to alley bar for a drink. we chatted and laugh and stuff. adelle and andrew worked til pretty late. they gave us their name cards. where's our name cards?! don't think ses will waste such money to give us name cards anyway. haven't have much use with it as most of the time (or almost all until now), we're in the office. that's beside the point, anyway, we laugh and chat and crap and talk about the shows in suntec and tour and school and singapore idol.

talking about singapore idol, i missed the show, but managed to catch result show. didn't hear jessie sing anyway, so can't talk much (she's kinda pretty). olinda sings well, but she's bitchy. david yeo sings well as well, better than what i expected.

we were talking about our log book, gotta get it signed pretty soon. sometimes, you won't know if something or someone is really good just by looking at the surface, but only when you really look into it. 'surface' can be superffical. whatever that means.

it's friday! TGIF! can't wait for pay day.

if only i am rich
08.25.04 (5:39 am)   [edit]
did a few changes with my tblog, new layout, but well, how new can it be? it's more or less the same. just want to brighten up a bit with the light pinky smooth color. you know, there's time when you need to relax and the same for me, i need to relax.

life haven't been the same since july 12, the day i joined the "school of hard knocks" - the working world. every monday i'm wearing blue - to anti-counter the monday blues. then every weekday we are looking forward to weekend, especially me. i feel tired almost everyday, feels like sleep is not enough. there's a standard wake-up time for me on saturdays and sunday. 4pm in the late afternoon. yeah. everyday saturday and sunday. i just need so much rest. ahh. if only i am rich.

anyway, work haven't been really exciting, which is a good thing. because excitment could cause me going home late, or even sleep late and wake up early. at recent prime minister lee (of singapore) announced that civil servant and those working in government agencies will serve only 5-day a week work. it's to promote work-life balance. i think it's a very good thing. considering national service cut 6months and now, i'll be free on saturday and sunday when i go for my national service, which is pretty cool. anyhow, in the place where i work, it's a 5-day week work. i simply love it. because as pm lee said, 5 and a half day and a 5 day week-work is really different. but don't listen all the good things i said, cos' there are really a lot a lot of things to do. oh man, now i have to be telephone operator every tuesday afternoon during lunch time. a guy being telephone operator?! sounds new.

if only i am rich. i can do a lot of things. but i'm not. am going hong kong this november with my family. seems so far away. as in november, not hong kong. september is coming, but still have 2 months more for november to come. 60days. ah. at least something for me to look forward to. my sister wants to go korea. damn, can ski !!!

singapore idol is actually pretty interesting, like american idol, i'm looking forward watching the show. but i haven't really-really listen to them sing. but this coming thursday i would have the chance. think they're not bad, but as good as idols from other countries? that i would need to find out.

wishing something will come back... *wish*

very.upset
08.22.04 (8:06 am)   [edit]
i felt and still feel very upset the whole day. this whole sunday. i did nothing but feeling upset the whole day.

the first and 2nd upset was Li Jia Wei, Singapore's best table-tennis player lost Olympics Bronze Medal. i don't know why i feel so sad for Singapore.
but Li Jia Wei inspired lotsa other players and will definitely revenge in Beijing 2008.
come to think about it, what you did for singapore?

next upset, i already booked my air-tickets and hotel for my nov hong kong trip, yet i feel upset. very very upset. sometimes, oh well, a lot of times, i am very kan cheong. i want to do things very fast. a lot of times when i wan it, means i want it... just check online today that the flight i'm taking, came out with a promotional price which is $57 cheaper. couldn't i just wait a little longer? not only i wasted my own money... but my "family's"...

i just feel so upset the whole day... which came to the point.. angry... VERY ANGRY!!! i can foresee the next few days won't be good... very very depress..... ahh... hai................

story worth reading
08.16.04 (9:22 pm)   [edit]
This is really worth reading. Sometimes we spend
time asking who is responsible or who to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. We miss out some warmth in human relationship to give each other support. Treasure what you have. Just a little story....

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of
marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the apple of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine
bottle open. He was late for work so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard.

His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle and fascinated by its color, drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collasped the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died.

The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to
face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just four words.

QUESTIONS : 1. What were the four words ?

2. What is the implication of this story?

ANSWER : The husband just said "I Love You Darling"

The husband's totally unexpected reaction is a proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he have taken time to keep the bottle away, this will not happen. No one to
be blamed. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.

If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears. And you will find
things are actually not as difficult as you think."

" A successful marriage requires falling in love many times ----- with the same person."

"Such sorrow swells upon the breast, Anonymity so
divinely dressed. Who but thee would know thy soul, Who but thee would wish thee whole. Such complexity in a single chain, Such pleasure, yet such pain.

How does thou plead with such confront? How does thou bleed upon such blatant brunt? Tell thee."

fahrenheit 9/11
08.08.04 (11:22 am)   [edit]

okay, i feel so much better now smelling nice and feeling non-sticky and not dirty. went to marina bay and had bbq steamboat buffet with my "family". it's so over crowded. and saw the awesome fireworks at marina's clear sky. with green, purple, blue and our national colour red and white. cool.

then we watched the movie-documentary fahrenheit 9/11. it's about Michael Moore's searing examination of the Bush administration's actions in the wake of the tragic events of 9/11. He looks at how - and why - Bush and his inner circle avoided pursuing the Saudi connection to 9/11, despite the fact that 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis and Saudi money had funded Al Qaeda. Fahrenheit 9/11 shows us a nation kept in constant fear by FBI alerts and lulled into accepting a piece of legislation, the USA Patriot Act, that infringes on basic civil rights. It is in this atmosphere of confusion, suspicion and dread that the Bush Administration makes its headlong rush towards war in Iraq Рand Fahrenheit 9/11 takes us inside that war to tell the stories we haven't heard, illustrating the awful human cost to U.S. soldiers and their families.

if you're going to watch the movie, keep an open mind. it would say it's a suggestive movie and it give a lot of insight information about what is going on in the states and how the people of the states reacted. part of the show is pretty disturbing (which make sense with the NC-16 rating). and you feel pretty sad for the people of iraq. michael moore said something in the show that really tiggered me. he said bush declared war with iraq while iraq did not plan any harm to usa, iraq have no threats to usa, iraq didn't even did anything wrong that should be attacked by the "war-president" - george w bush. okay, i know. it's becoming very political right now. some might think it's a boring show, but for some, i leave for them something to think about and the situation.

at the end of the day, who are the people who suffers? the people. who are the pepole of gain? the rich & famous. life is unfair.

anyway. i wishes happy 39th birthday to my wonderful, safe, clean, kiasu, sometimes irritates the hell of me, great weather (sometimes), bad weather (sometimes), nice people (some mean), and disgusting people, wealthy, some poor, lovely, lotsa complaint (but don't dare to open up)... okay, enough.

happy birthday singapore. the young 39-year-old well developed nation, may you progress and our dear singapore tourism board, i wishes you to do a better job what you are doing now. it's NOT ENOUGH!

peace and love

In a USA Today column about Apple, the writer called Singapore "autocratic, insular, elegantly engineered, repressively controlled--and destined to never amount to more than a small but interesting dot on the world map".

Do you agree?

learning to bow
08.02.04 (3:20 am)   [edit]
oh man, i cut my thumb again. seriously, i don't know how many cuts i've got. by the way, i spent my weekend nicely. bought a few stuff, like twins latest cd, cantonese. nice. a SEED sweater from tangs which is what i wanted since i saw it in kuala lumpur and luckily singapore also have. and i bought this nice book by author bruce feiler, learning to bow - inside the heart of japan. it's a good book where he shared his experience in japan teaching, and it introduce japanses culture and how it differs american culture. it's informative, entertaining, interesting and most importantly, it's pretty funny. (ps. ivan ng, my harry potter book still with you *lol* but you can take your time).

oh well, i just called starhub and changed my plan to powerplay ii. so i would get free incoming call all day and 300 sms. oh well, my current plan offers me 900 sms a month in which i only uses about 200 a month. so why bother getting 900 sms and only receiving half day of free incoming call. i can't make international call, but they charged me a charge for international call. just checking up. but good thing is, the customer service operator showed satifying attitude and customer service, so, ok. i wonder should i cancel my international roaming service, since i'm not using much now, and it cost $5/- a month. i want to buy new phone!!! no money lah! X300?! nah, i'm on a $-saving plan.

gosh. life.
